During the Spring Michal records and produces the Stromboli in Quartet cd which is released in June as a double cd together with a re-edition of the album Stromboli Shutdown. Stromboli in Quartet contains arrangements of Pavlicek's songs for string quartet. Besides his arrangements, arrangements by Michaela Polakova and Petr Wajsar and their Epoque Quartet also appear here.

Michal puts the group Stromboli together with the original lineup at the end of June and they play two concerts, the second being in the Pegas Arena on the occasion of the announcement of video clip of the decade.

At the same time he completes the cd of lyricist, composer and singer Michaela Polakova titled Slečna mrcha - “Miss Bitch” on which he appears as producer and arranger. Michal's son also recorded live drums for the project.

In the autumn Michal, with the formation Big Heads, enhanced by the oboe, Moog and akordeon of Jan Kolar, releases the long-awaited cd Čombió.

Michal presents himself as a solo singer with the release of Hlava veliká - “Big Head” for which a special clip was recorded by director David Havran Spáčil.

At the end of the year he participates in a benefit concert Tribute to Freddy Mercury. Foe this event Michal prepares two versions of queen songs for guitar, vocals and symphony orchestra. This performance was recorded by Czech Television and a cd was also released.

During the year Michal composed incidental music for the television film by Juraj Herz Experiment and Help for you and Svědek - “witness” by Petr Slavik.
