The 14th February sees the premiere in Divadlo Husa na Provazku of the operetta “Very Blue Bird,” directed by Vladimir Moravek, for which Michal composed and recorded the music.

 

A month later he completes the music for the stage show “Produkt” in Ta Fantasika theatre in Prague.

 

Michal Pavlicek's spring concert tour begins in February. In this he presents himself as an intrumentalist in the fusion trio of Milos Meier on drums and Martin Ivan on bass guitar. Bara Basikova and DJ Lucca will be appearing as guests.

 

The television film “the Road Home,” directed by Petr Slavik, premieres at the end of April, with Michal's music. The theme song is sung by Bara Basikova and Jan Sahara Hedl.

 

Pavlicek receives the annual “Andel” prize from the Czech Academy of Popular Music for “best DVD of 2006” for the double platinum DVD of his performance at the Beat Hall of Fame.

 

In April and June, theatre Ta Fantastika premieres the plays “Sandpit,” and “The Road to Bulgumy.” Directed by Jiri Pokorny, the music is composed by Michal Pavlicek.

 

In the summer Michal starts work on the continuation of the TV serial “Good District” for Ceska Televize, and “Place for Life II” for TV Nova.

 

The DVD Na Kloubocku – Best Sessions Parts 1 & 2 appear as a supplement to Report Magazine.

 

During July and August Michal composes music for a new musical for the Ta Fantastika theatre – “Lady of the Camellias” starring Bara Basikova in the title role and directed by Viktoria Cermarkova.

 

At the end of August the CD “Mami,” with Monika Naceva and DJ Five is finished, to be released in September by Respekt Edice.

 

From November he is composing music for the performance “The Cherry Orchard.”

From August he composes symphonoc music for Petr Slavik's detective series “The Main Role.”

 

Throughout the autumn Michal plays a series of concerts with his trio and with Bara Basikova.
