In February was the premiere, in the Vonohrady Theatre in Prague, of the performance “The Cherry Orchard,” with Dagmar Havlova in the title role, for which Michal composed the music. The director of this performance was Vladimir Moravek.

In March the CD of Lady of the Camellias was released by EMI.

Michal is nominated for the Alfred Radok prize for his music for the performance “Very Blue Bird.”

In December his autobiography Zeme Vzdalene - “The Distance to Earth'” is published by Lidove Noviny publishing. This also contains the DVD of his performance for the Radio Beat Hall of Fame.
